A:AnswerI'm not sure exactly what you mean by full lcd. It is a backlit LED LCD with a very good lighting, but the S405 does not have contrast zone lighting like the higher end vizio, but it has a incredible picture and can get very bright over most entry level LCD TVs, especially a LG.
A:AnswerThis television is great in a medium darkened or darkened room! I have reviewed the television selections in the 43 to 50 inch sizes and I think the Insignia would do a better job of handling a bright room. Just my opinion but I would certainly google your question just to get a second opinion!
A:AnswerAbsolutely! The Xfinity streaming channel is one of the thousands of streaming channels offered through the Roku Channel Store. In fact of the top 25 streaming channels, TCL Roku TVs offer all 25! You can also visit www.roku.com/whats-on to see other streaming channels Roku offers. Hope this helps! A:AnswerYou can program the TV to power on directly to your cable box by going to Home>Settings>System>Power>Power on>Select the input that your cable box is connected to. Additionally, our TVs are compatible with most Universal and cable remotes. Many Universal and cable box remotes can be programmed to control certain features on the TV. You can visit https://support.tclusa.com/26534-remote-codes/205958-remote-codes for more information. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
A:AnswerYou WILL have issues, my daughter has another type of TCL roku TV on the other side of the wall and shes always messing with our volume.
If you are not in the same app there is no issue.
A:AnswerNot on the remote. I don’t recall it on the TV but it is probably there as I would have wanted one— but I’ve never used it! It would require a looong cord. I can BT from my soundbar.
A:AnswerYes you can as long as you have the internet.
Try Youtube, Tubi, Crackle examples. Roku has so many free Apps. Show time, Hulu, usually offers free trials for first time subscribers. Hulu 30 days Showtime only 7 days.
Directvnow had a long running promo for 10.00 per month for 1st 3 months or they offer free Roku or Fire Tv with 1st month paid up front . Each family member having. free trial accounts extends the life of your ability to stream for free or really cheap. Bottom line just look through the apps there is so much free stuff and even live tv on several apps. ABC, NBC. FOX etc. You can look at some live tv shows if there in your area. In some cases you need a subscriber for live tv packages in order to use some of the apps but the apps are worth being looked at to see if your able to view without a subscriber. Take advantage of Sling credit Best Buy gives with a purchase of a device or TV.
I have 3 offers since I purchased a Roku, TCL Roku TV and a Toshiba TV. I'm not sure if they have to be used by a certain time. Since my Directvnow is ending soon I will use one of my credits and then see if my family can sign up for the other 2 30 day offers which would be 3 months free live TV service only if I can find away around possible signup issues. Its worth a try.
Philo on Roku is a great price too at 16.00 per month for I think 32 + channels. There is no way around Philo like having several accounts if you want freebies with because they track your account through your mobile phone. Only one 7 day trial and you have to pay the piper unless you have several cell phone numbers. News junkies can watch CNN go. Look a little closer to possibly find some live news on that App. MSNBC is a little harder. Their is an android APP you can get that on and you can cast it to your tv screen. Start slow and start building and you will find mostly everything you want to watch.
