More than voice command the Best Buy model remote requires line of sight (point at the TV) whereas the 617 remote does not. That’s a significant difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is the exact same TV. The only difference is in the remote. The 617 is voice command, where the 615 is not. The 615 is exclusive to Best Buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The TV is the same. The remote on the 615 does not have the voice function that the 617 has.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My understanding is the only difference from 615 (which is exclusive to Best Buy) and the 617 is the 617 remote has voice commands. So currently $30 more for 617 would only give you the voice remote control. I believe it uses Google prompts
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Someone online posted that the 615 does not have the action smoothing setting while the 617 does? I don't care about the voice remote BUT if the 615 does not have the action smoothing feature i will not be buying it i will get the 617 instead.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Within each TV series there are different sizes and models available. These models can have differences in their physical/cosmetic design, remote controls, or the on-screen user interfaces. For the 55R615 and 55R617, both TVs have the same specs.
