The wired connection on all my tcl TVs is 100 megabit. This includes multiple 4 series, a 6 series, and a C series I used to have. All are close to 5g@1300 ac access points. There is effectively no advantage in using the faster wireless, even with a 300 megabit Internet feed. I think the highest bitrate I've seen on ANY streamed HDR or Dolby Vision 4k content is around 50 megabit. The only real advantage in these sets having contemporary wifi speeds is they can have "enough," which I believe to be 50 megabit, at greater distances from your router than an older wifi protocol would be able to provide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have Gigabit speeds from your ISP and a router that has Gigabit ports connected to a switch that has Gigabit ports and your TV is reading <100Mbps speeds, that means your TV has a 10/100 NIC. If your switch is managed you should be able to see that on the port your tv is connected to if your speed/duplex is set to autonegotiate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the TCL XL Collection 98 inch TV. I have COX for my ISP and it supports both 5G and 2.4G Internet. I have my entire home hard wired with CAT 8 Ethernet Cable. I have an Asus AX Router and a Cisco 20 port Switch installe. Currently I am getting speeds of around 250Mbps on my Asus ROG 6 Pro phone and my HP Laptop and my Samsung Tablet. However, when I test the TCL TV on either hard wired connection or wireless can only get 93.88Mbps speed
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t know about the Ethernet connection but it did connect to my 5Ghz wifi
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.5G is a term used in the wireless (cell phone) industry. While I don’t have the exact specs you’re looking for I can almost guarantee that the speeds are only limited by what your internet service provider is providing you. My example: ISP is giving me 40Mbps. This TV can certainly handle much more than that, and keep in mind streaming HR only needs 3-5Mbps, and 4K needs 12-25 depending on the app. This TV can certainly handle that.
