I have been considering the TCL 55Q750G and therefore researching this very question. My research and conversations with TCL customer service reveals that every single TCL 2023 model only has an ATSC 1.0 tuner, and TCL has inexplicably and deliberately decided not to support ATSC 3.0 yet. That is a deal-breaker for me and should be for most consumers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not ATSC 3.0 however my understating is that not all markets are transmitting the the new signal and of those cities that are they have 1 to few transmitters at best. It will probably be a few more years before all stations come on board with the technology. They do have after market receivers you can purchase if you so desire to receive the new signal that can be connected to any new TV’s. Hope this helps you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only sets I've seen with the ATSC 3.0 built in are very high end sets. Article from October. https://www.tomsguide.com/best-picks/best-tvs-with-atsc-30-tuners
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this may sound like a "bad" thing, but given the current ATSC 3.0 DRM debacle, ATSC 1.0 has full channel line-up support ... the FCC likely wont be coming to "bat" for the consumers, and I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the 2027 sunset of ATSC 1.0 gets pushed as the 3.0 DRM fight goes to the courts ... by the time 3.0 becomes mainstream, your TCL TV will be long-in-the-tooth and time for replacement
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This TCL TV utilizes an ATSC 1.0 tuner. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ATSC enables 4k over the air. Most consumers have some sort of cable provider or streaming service in 4k, and they aren’t using over the air antennas anyway.
