What is the dirty screen effect? null

A uniform screen displays an image which remains consistent in terms of clarity, color and brightness at all points along the display area. This can result in Dirty Screen Effect (DSE), which as the name implies, gives the screen the appearance of being dirty.

This is caused by screens that are not calibrated properly at the factory. It is a quality control issue. On scenes where one color is displayed such as a football field, you will notice different shades of color. HOWEVER, TCL seems to have gotten this problem under control. I have the TCL 75 Series 6 and it has a perfect screen.
