QuestionWhat is the difference between TI - 84 Plus and a TI - 84 plus CE? What does the CE stand for?

- Answer CE is an abbreviation of Color Enhancement. The TI-84 Plus has a few more unrecognizable programs, those of which you'll never really use. The TI-84 Plus CE basically offers more memory for the optional programs that can be downloaded free online from Texas Instruments (instructions provided in the manual when purchased), offers color for various graphing, and has a rechargeable lithium battery that can also be replaced if needed (TI-84 Plus doesn't have). Wiser investment - my opinion.

- Answer Yes, a charger is included, as well as an additional short cord to plug into a USB Port on a laptop or computer for downloading purposes.

QuestionMy grandson lost his charger for his T1-84+ CE graphing calculator. This is the 3rd charger I have ordered and it doesn't fit. Did they change the charger size? The charger size is smaller than the input on the calculator. Is this a known problem?

- Answer When we cant find our original charger to the T1-84+CE calculator we can use our Nintendo DS charger and it charges just fine. Maybe try that? I have 3 different colors of this calculator and all of our Chargers are the same. I do know that the charging cords are different for each model though. A T1-83 and a T1-84 do not have the same chargers for example.

QuestionMy daughter needs the TI84 Plus for college calculus but her professor said it can’t be the one that you can send messages/emails or any correspondence with another calculator. Does the TI84 Plus CE have that capability? And do any of the TI84 calculators

- Answer I would recommend the plus ce version. The ce is color one. Looks great. Have them price match Walmart. It was cheaper there.

- Answer I just called TI and they have replacement batteries for $5.00 https://education.ti.com/en/us/customer-support/contact_support/overview She said keep it charged, dont let it run real low. ALSO, do NOT use a phone charger, ONLY use the calculator charger. Sept 8, 2016

- Answer The gold is a metallic paint, therefore is not expected to fade. A hard cover slide case is included in the packaging for protection against scratches.

- Answer Hello, the calculator does not have a QWERTY keyboard, but a majority of the programming is through menus. You can paste the commands in your TI-Basic or Python programs from the menus without any typing. You will need to add your arguments to functions, but the function names can be added directly from menus in the editors.

- Answer The physical calculator operating system does not expire. However, in the packaging is also a license for the a TI online calculator. This software does not need the physical calculator to work and you receive a 4-year subscription with purchase of the physical calculator.

QuestionDoes it come with a users manual? My friend ordered one from Amazon but looks like no thick user's manual was included; it only has thin pamphlets that look NOT to be a complete user's manual. It also came in a box as oppose to a normal plastic package
