Q: QuestionIt bought a Thinkware X1000 and brought to BestBuy for hardwire installation on my Porsche Macan, but the technicians told me that they couldn't do it as that might interfere with the electrical system. Would this OBD-II cable work?

Q: QuestionI do not want to hardwire the Thinkware Q200 2K QHD dash cam to my vehicle. Will this eliminate the need to plug the dash cam into a cigarette lighter, or is this strictly to enable parking mode?

• A:Answer Hello! If you wish to install the dash camera using the cigarette lighter adapter, the parking will not be enabled. For the parking mode to be enabled, you can either install it using the OBD ll power cable or using a external batter pack.
