According to the packaging, it says it comes with a 2 year warranty. I believe the S5 Extreme is a BestBuy exclusive item, which means that it wouldn't be sold anywhere else, including from the Tineco website, perhaps it's an oversite by Tineco that they are only referring to items that are not exclusive to certain stores. I haven't tried to use it so I can't tell you if I will have a problem with trying to use it.
