• Hi Sandi, the iFloor Breeze stays on when you press the button and will stay on until you press the button again.

• Yes. Then again, having tested several models/makers, I don't know of any manufacturer who has created a model that requires you to constantly hold the power button down. That would speak more to there being an issue with the button's functionality in that situation.
