• The "tray" that you hang on the wall has a place to plug in the charger on the bottom. There is a diagram on the tray.

• You don't plug the vac itself in, you plug in to the wall mounted charging dock, and then you set the vacuum on the dock to charge.

• The charging cord plugs into the wall mounting bracket, not directly into the vacuum motor. Mount the bracket on the wall and plug the charging cable into the receptacle in the bottom of the bracket. It helps if you can mount the unit close to a wall outlet, but it's not absolutely necessary - I mounted mine in a closet and I use a short extension cord to reach an outlet. When you hang the vacuum motor in the bracket it automatically makes a connection to the charging cable so it can charge.
