You do not want it without membership. All that is available is "free lift" mode which does not remember any of your weight history and does not automatically adjust weights as you get stronger. You can read details on what is available without a subscription on knowledge.tonal.com - they have an article on it. But as a user who uses Tonal 5 to 6 days a week (and has had it for 18 months), I will tell you that you absolutely do not want it without the subscription. With the subscription this thing is absolutely amazing and is frankly life changing. It is hard to oversell it as it is just so good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will likely lose most of the features and functionality without the membership. Like 90%. This product isnt meant to be "cheaper than going to a gym" Its meant for convenience at home, saving slace when not in use, remembering your stats, workout coaching, hands free music, and being able to do different workouts in one space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The speediance gym monster is cheaper than Tonal and does not have a monthly membership fee. I'd go that route if you're looking to skip the monthly membership. I own the speediance and absolutely love it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The membership is required for the first 12 months. If you have no intention of using the membership for at least the minimum required time, don't buy it because the machine will not work unless you activate the membership. You can cancel after that period but at then it would just be like any basic cable machine. As a piece of connected fitness equipment, Tonal is designed to be used with the membership. Without it, it would be like buying a cell phone but not subscribing to a cell phone service. It's pretty pointless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The answer to this would depend upon your comfort level with strength training. Without the subscription, you essentially can only select your weight, and the rest is on you. If you're familiar with strength training (i.e., different types of lifts, your abilities, etc), and you don't care about any of the smart settings such as chains, eccentric, etc, then the machine without the membership might suffice. It's worth noting you also won't be able to save workouts, which makes following your own program much easier and convenient. Either way, I do believe this machine still requires a 12-month initial commitment, thereafter you can cancel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do want it WITHOUT the rip-off subscription. The subscription is more expensive than a gym membership. After paying $4000 for the equipment, a subscription should not be required.
