- Answer It's officially marketed for 3 and up. That being said, my kid has independently used it since 2. But they also come with white noise or lullabies and you can record yourself reading stories ot have relatives that livr far away record themselves on the phone app and it can be linked to a blank figurine. I just got a second one for my 4 minth old. I would say 2 years to 10 ish

- Answer No, the Tonie character sits on top of the box using magnets. When you switch the character, the stories/songs switch.

- Answer Yes, the mytonies app is available in Ireland! If you are sending a US Toniebox to Ireland, you would need to use a converter to be able to use the charger with the 240V outlets in Ireland (Since the US charger is only compatible with 120V) Every Tonie works with every Toniebox, so you can have a US Toniebox and play UK, German, or French Tonies without issue.

QuestionIs this similar to a "Jack in the box" but maybe with bluetooth? I don't see a lid that would go down on top of the little guy. is that just not shown for the picture? Does it plug in or take batteries? How many and what kind? or maybe rechargeable?

Designed for little listeners ages 3+, it’s the perfect storytime companion for tiny hands and active imaginations. This is not Jack in the Box, the Tonies attach to the top of the Toniebox via a magnet. The Toniebox uses a built-in nickel-metal hydride battery, also known as a NiMH battery. It is charged using the included charging station. The Toniebox can be operated while the battery is charging without an issue.
