Q: QuestionCan I bypass the home screen when I turn on my Toshiba firetv 55LF621U19? Was told by Toshiba phone support that the TV defaults to the Home screen and can't be changed. Now I need 2 remotes each time I turn on the TV? Idiotic. Suggestions?

Q: QuestionMy tv is a Toshiba model #52HMX84 and serial #21811524 and we’re having trouble hearing the audio with the loudest setting on HDMI input and Video input. Since we have no cable we only use a ps4 and hdmi hook up from our laptops to watch anything. Help

• A:Answer Mine had a problem like this too where it would appear to be off, but the screen's backlight would still be on. I would have to unplug the power cord from the TV, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. Then it would come on normally again. This happened every couple weeks or so, only seemed to happen when we left the TV on overnight or during the day on Chromecast.

Q: QuestionHaving problems getting picture to stay on my Toshiba ct-rc2us-18 It will come on sometimes for a few minutes then the screen goes blank but audio is still ok. Wondering how to fix it. The tv is only 3 months old.

• A:Answer Sounds like your backlight is going bad. Get a VERY BRIGHT LED flashlight and hold it up to the screen when it goes "blank". If you can see the picture faintly where the bright LED flashlight is shining, then your backlight is failing and you need warranty repair.
