The drive comes with the USB 3.0 cable, which will also work with your USB 2.0 port.

It is backwards compatible though it will only transfer at usb2 speeds. Also note that the other end of the cable(the end that connects to the external drive) is not a standard usb2 plug, so you will not be able to replace the cable with an old cable that you may have lying around.
