• A:Answer USB 2.0 & 3.0 compatible... if you have a free USB port, should be good to go. Chrome OS may have some quirks regarding some of the pre-loaded features, but would operate the same as a storage device.

• A:Answer As you have probably already found out by now this external hard drive can not record off of your tv like a DVR can by itself. -- I think that was your original question.-- It can add to the recordable space of many DVRs available today and also for DVD recorders with built in Hard Drives.
