QuestionHow can I get the hard drive to work with y ps4?I have recently purchased the hard drive and have formatted it to Fat32, my ps4 will recognize the hard drive but when I go to open, the VIDEO and MUSIC files I created are not there. Instead there is a folder that says BOOT , which has nothing in it and another one that say EFI which also has nothing in it. When I plug the hard drive into my computer I can see the folders I have created but they are not visible on the PS4. Why are they not being recognized?

- Answer Yes, just look up the formatting format you need to use. I.E NOT NTFS, most likely FAT32.

- Answer If you used the (enclosed) NTI Backup Now EZ software to do the backup, invoke the software (should be an icon on your desktop if you specified it during the software install) and look at the icons at the bottom right of the panel that comes up. The far left one should be a circle with a piece of paper under a magnifying glass. Click on this and it will give you the files on the backup drive.

- Answer You can. But, when u install it, it will run on the machine that you have it installed with. Won't work fast as installing it on your PC. Bottom line is, yes. I, myself, would install the software on my PC. and save the videos on the external. As, well as, purchasing a 2nd one, for a back up.

QuestionScratch diskWill this hard drive work as a scratch disk when editing video or photos? Is the usb 3.0 fast enough to want to use it as a scratch disk?

- Answer I just used it edit a documentary at 720P, 30fps on AVID. I believe the compression was DNXHD75. I also used the same video with After Effects. I had no issues. USB 3 is fast enough as a sending format for regular HD video. The limiting factor would be the drive. Usually, you want a drive with 7200RPMS. If you don't, then you may sometimes run into issues where the video stalls. But in this case, I edited for a week and had no issues.

- Answer It will certainly work for the Windows system without running software. As for Mac systems you may have to ensure a driver is installed but it still will operate without the additional software that comes with the drive. The software is primarily for backup software solution And is not mandatory to operate this drive.

- Answer It runs off the USB power; keep in mind that it uses USB 3.0, so make sure you have a jack on your unit that is USB 3.0.
