Q: QuestionSSD Upgrade Compatibility?Can this laptop be upgraded to a SSD? If so, where can I find a compatibilty checker? I would like to upgrade this laptop to SSD immediately after purchase.

• A:Answer No problem in installing an SSD. The problem is to install the OS on the SSD. You can try to image the HD to the SSD before booting up and let Win10 configure the system. Recommend that you realign the SSD before you start.

• A:Answer You cannot add a disk Drive to the machine itself, but you can buy a USB external DVD-R/RW/DL for under $35 at Best buy. Better to use an external drive anyway, as including it would make this laptop much larger and thicker. Pretty normal nowadays anyways.

Q: QuestionIs the Hard Drive user upgradeable? Can I later upgrade it to SSD?I was thinking that maybe if I got extra pennies, I would upgrade this to SSD hard drive, is it possible? Coz I think there are laptops that their hard drives are non-upgradable.. am not sure though

• A:Answer The upgrade that you purpose is probably the best investment you can do for this machine, two weakness for this particular model, Touchpad flimsy build quality and a very slow hard drive. In order to proceed with the upgrade, make a back up of every important data, turn your PC off, then just remove the small Philips type screws located on the rear, remove the back lid (carefully, it will fill like removing back covers of old Samsung Galaxy phones, S3 or S4) exchange the HDD for the SSD, reinstall Windows and restore back up copies using your favorite method. Warning: Before proceeding check if this procedure can damage your product warranty.

Q: QuestionIs there any way to fix the Wi-fi problems that this computer has?So, every few hours (or less than this), my Wi-Fi goes from being "Connected" to "Limited Access" which I would have to disconnect from the Wi-Fi then connect again OR just turn on Airplane mode for a few seconds (The last resort? Restarting the computer). I am aware that this is somewhat of a common problem with Windows 10, but I have heard other people in the reviews have problems with the Wi-Fi on the laptop whereas other laptop reviews, this problem isn't as present. What I'm basically asking is this... Are there any sort of drivers let alone any way I could fix the problem? I know it's a common flaw in this particular laptop, but I really want to avoid having to return it, especially since I've already exchanged this laptop for the same model due to a separate, actually defective issue. Is there any way Geek Squad could even fix this? I mean, judging from the reviews, if this was such a fatal flaw for the laptop, it would have been recalled already.

• A:Answer Yes, there is a way to fix this problem. I was having this same problem when I got my laptop. First, I went into Device Manager, network adapters, Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 properties. From there, go into power management and un-check "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". This helped keep the wi-fi connection when I would turn my computer on or wake it from sleep mode. Next, I went and updated the driver from Intel's website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86068/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-8260 Now that I have updated the driver, I don't seem to have the issue as much anymore. Right now I have driver version 18.30.0.9 on my computer and will probably check back regularly to update it in the future. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionAre the Wifi Problems from Previous Models Fixed?There were known problems with the Wifi on the P55W-B5220, have those problems been resolved for this model? The Wifi issues were known on the P55W radius series. Please tell us what you upgraded in regards to Wifi?

• A:Answer Adding wireless speakers to your computer can be relatively inexpensive now-a-days(it can also be quite pricey depending on how techy you want to be!). I use mine all the time with a remote that way I never have my laptop anywhere near the food and my "little helpers" who have "lot's" of accidents! Don't let the volume of the speakers be the only option holding you back from buying a particular computer. If you love everything else about it, then go for it, buy it, and get the speakers to go with it. The nice thing about having them "one the side"...you can use them with your other computers as well!! Good Luck!.

Q: QuestionHow can I add a hardwire?Was surprised to see what there is no slot for hardwire, which means only way to get internet access is through wireless. Is there an attachment I can use to add so I can use hardwire to get faster speed?

• A:Answer I use a Ethernet to USB 3 adapter to get hard-wired internet to the computer. Although I don't see much of a difference than with WiFi Wireless N. the adapters are usually less that twenty dollars.

Q: QuestionDoes the resolution of the laptop make streaming slower? How's webcam?i read somewhere that because of its clear resolution, it sacrifices the speed of the laptop when it's streaming videos or playing games? I was looking forward to a good display, but it's a make it or break it if I play a video at 360-480p and it becomes stuttery or slow. Also during gaming, I like to keep medium settings without lag... :/ I skype a lot, so I wanted to know how the webcam was? Average? Works pretty well on video chat?

• A:Answer The resolution on your laptop's display is more associated with what type of video card you have inside your PC, how much RAM you have, and how powerful your CPU is. Most important though, a Laptop that has a "dedicated and discreet" video card instead of "integrated video" means your display will look sharper, stream more crisp clear videos, and will be plenty powerful to Skype, play games at higher refresh rates without any lag. The Screen itself is only using what your PC has inside of it. • A:Answer It is home. I have pro installed on my desktop and there is not much difference honestly. However there are obviously more features with pro security and encryption and if you need them specifically then you will either need to upgrade or get another laptop. I only answer this way because i know in past Windows versions such as Win7 more mainstream features were left out of the lower versions but with Win 10 it is mainly just drive encryption and some other 'pro' features missing. Good luck though.

Q: QuestionWhat kind of stylus would be compatible with the Toshiba Satellite Radius p55w-c5200x?Hello, I recently obtained a Toshiba Satellite Radius 15.6" P55W-C5200X. I opted for a touch screen laptop because I am planning on using it as a device for graphic designing. For that reason, I am looking for a stylus that would be compatible with the touchscreen mechanism of this laptop. I read somewhere that the laptop is equipped with a capacitive touchscreen mechanism. However, I still would like to verify that information before I purchase a stylus which could end up incompatible and unusable, and ultimately, a waste of time and resources. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with this ordeal. Thank you.
