The way this item is meant to be used is by initially fully charging the item via the usb cable and ac or dc outlet, then once the item is fully charged the Solar panel on the item will keep recharging the battery during the sunlight hours to prolong the battery life of the item. It should take about 15-20mins to fully charge your device from 0% using the QC (orange port)
