  • Questionwhat is the coverage area that it will service

    Asked by jack.

    • Answer Unsure if this will answer but live on a 1/2 acre property in a suburban area. Reception reaches the back of the property. I was told it could reach three houses away if I wanted to but have not tried it out. I can sit in the back of our standard housing development and still get reception and not be on my back patio.

    Asked by Tina38.

    • Answer If you are referring to the "weak security" message, this simply means you need to configure the router's WiFi encryption settings to WPA2-PSK [AES] for each WiFi band. These settings can be found within the router's web management interface. If you would like assistance changing these settings, please reach out to our TP-Link support team here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/contact-technical-support/

  • QuestionHow many devices can connect to this router

    Asked by K2651547.

    • Answer The quantity of connected client devices will vary depending on overall network load, how many clients are connected to each band (i.e. 2.4GHz vs. 5GHz), and the available bandwidth on each WiFi band. As long as you are distributing clients efficiently across each WiFi band, you should have no issue connecting dozens of WiFi devices to the router.
