A:Answer I know this is a couple years old, I'm sorry for answering this this far out. A single one will not affect your wifi, but if you have a lot of devices with MAC Addresses (every wifi plug has to have one due to a FCC Regulation, i think) you can clog your network Access Point (your wifi router) with them and it can cause issues. I am currently installing about 150 of these TP-Link Smart Switches and Outlets into a home and it keeps cutting the wifi out. The router/mesh routers we are using are the Eero Mesh Wifi solution which are rated at 100+ (256 according to Eero CS) devices for each mesh AP device. So if you are going to use a lot of them, then please think of the network solution you are going to go with. This person also streams music, videos and things like that on the network. So it will bring the number of devices on the mesh network down to about 40 or so. This is a device ecosystem for those who are wanting to enable a few things to be smart (turning on lights, and a few other things) not a whole house solution for basic consumer grade network systems.
