- Answer You can add up to 16 of the AV1000 class devices on one network, provided they can all talk to one another of course. You will slice up the 1Gb/s bandwidth for each device, so the more nodes you add, the less throughput you have for each.

QuestionI have one of those running on the latest available firmware (ver.: 3.2.4_701E04_190619_901) from TP-Link (US) and it stops functionin (no network connection), despite all LEDs being lit green, every day or two.

Powerline connectivity and data transfer rates will vary due to network environment variables including: distance between adapters, network traffic, noise on electrical wires, building material and construction, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions. If you have an existing router, and if the router has multiple LAN/Ethernet ports, you can connect a Wi-Fi access point (or another router that supports Access Point Mode) to your router via Ethernet cable to provide your home network with Wi-Fi. Please note that the specific product model you asked this question on (TL-PA7017 KIT) does not provide Wi-Fi. It is designed to expand Ethernet (wired) coverage using the existing electrical wiring in your home.

- Answer Yes, you can connect virtually any Ethernet-based network device to the Powerline adapter that is installed at the remote location. You can essentially view the two adapters as replacing the role of a long Ethernet cable from point A to point B.

- Answer Does your barn share electrical circuitry with your house? If the barn is not fed current by the same electrical box as the house, these will not work. The internet signal travels through electrical wiring.

QuestionWe only have one Ethernet port in our house. I am going to start working from home and need to plug my Ethernet cable into my tower. Can I use this in my room as an Ethernet port like the regular one that’s in my living room?

- Answer Yes. I'm assuming that your tower is your desktop computer, and you need a wired internet connection directly to your desktop which is in some room other than the location of your modem / router. Okay, you begin with a TP Link two-unit kit. Plug one TP Link unit into a wall outlet as close to the modem / router as possible. Connect the modem / router via ethernet cable to the TP Link unit plugged into the wall outlet. The modem / router pushes the internet signal through the TP Link unit and into the power line. ( Use the instructions enclosed with you TP Link package. ) Plug the other TP Link unit into a wall outlet close to your tower. Connect tower and TP Link via ethernet cable. Make sure you look for a wired connection when you connect your desktop to the internet.

- Answer Yes. The instructions imply that the two devices should be on the same circuit, without defining what they mean by circuit. My pair are connected to different circuit breakers in my electrical panel. Performance is adequate for me but I do not know if there is a speed loss from connecting to different breaks.

QuestionCan i just pick them up? Just got fiber 1000MB from AT&T and the TP-Link AV500 that i have might not cut it for 1GB fiber connection even though it works, but not getting the full benefits of it. i have 4 TP-Link AV500, how much 2 TP-Link V4 AV1000 Cost?

- Answer I have the same service and it is only 1000Mbps not MBps so this should be able to handle the max amount provided by at&t, and it is around $50 for a set I think.
