Hi. This is Janet from TracFone Wireless. BYOP stands for Bring Your Own Phone. With our Bring Your Own Phone program, you can get TracFone service on your current phone as long as it is compatible. Compatible phones include: GSM Unlocked phones that runs in 850 and 1900 MHz and some CDMA technology compatible phones. To check if your phone is compatible, select the "Check Compatibility" option at get.tracfone.com/byop/.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You're not tied to only using phones offered by tracfone .In other words you could purchase an I Phone , Samsung , or like me a Moto G5+ , and by using the mini activation kit ( which includes an SD card , and multiple sim cards that will work with the 3 major carriers - Verizon , AT &T , or Sprint depending on who gives you the best coverage ) and still take full of tracfones service and not be tied to a contract .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It means you don't need to buy a phone from Tracfone. I purchased a used iphone from Gazelle (unlocked or AT&T are compatible). I then bought the Tracfone sim card and Tracfone service. I've purchased 5 iPhones with Tracfone service this way for my family. Haven't had any problems setting up service - I did it all on their website.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Being your own phone means when you go to a party, your friends or whatever wants you to bring your own phone cuz they don’t want you to play with their phone.
