A:AnswerThat is not true about the SIm. I upgraded and kept my min and phone number and any min added were tripled. I got mine from Best Buy and was able to call tracfone and activate without any other expenses involved.
A:AnswerDo NOT call the phone number provided on the Tracfone site. I just did, and I got two idiots out of two calls, the first of whom speaks unintelligible English! On most help sites, I have more luck with online "chat" even though they're deadly slow.
A:AnswerIt is an Android OS, just save the ones you take. Get the app Astro File Manager and go find out where they photos are being saved. This is where you put any other photos you want to display on the phone.
A:AnswerI came over from Verizon to TracPhone, and had no problems transferring my old Verizon # to Trac phone. This was done over land line with no problems.
A:AnswerIt does come with 10 minutes. You can purchase the 3x mins from the Tracfone web site, extra mins cards can be bought anywhere Tracfone is sold I am told just in case you are not near a Best Buy.
A:AnswerUsage is metered by data used rather than time, it'll depend on what you're trying to do. Their website has some guidelines to estimate how usage will add up. Generally Tracfone's internet is fairly expensive and you are better off on WiFi where possible.
A:AnswerYour best bet is to sign up with Tracfone's auto extend service which costs $5 or $6 a month and just extends the time 30 days without adding minutes. When the minutes run low add additional minutes which will triple and add 90 days, then as those 90 days expire the automatic extension kicks in again as needed. If you truly use only a few minutes a month that's the cheapest way to keep a phone active.
