• when you go on the tracfone website they ask you if you want to keep your old number on your new phone just click on yes to keep your old number for your new phone

• I went to the TracFone site, signed in then registered my new phone. After that I had to activate it and TracFone asked me what number to use, that is when I gave them my old number. Then TracFone said it will take awhile for it to be activated. It took about an hour.
