Go to tracfone.com and log in or create an account. Make sure your current phone matches what is listed on the site and your phone number and the phones serial number matches. Then find the link that lets you add a new phone. Then just fill in the info requested. Make sure you have both phones turned on. I have done this for my past 7 phones with no problem. It carries your current phone number and current minutes, text & data to the new phone. I never had a problem & I hope it works for you. Also make sure both phones are fully charged or connected to it's charger. Depending on their current server load it my transfer quickly or take as long as overnight. Good luck! If you are changing from another carrier (Verizon, t-mobile etc.) That I don't know how to do that. I think you have to call them. Tracfone says it's possible.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We were able to to it from the Tracfone website. We added the new device to our account and than made the old device inactive and the new device active. I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact steps and I remember it was a little confusing, but I think the key was adding the new device and then making it active.
