- Answer It doesn't come with minutes. You purchase that separately which you should be able to purchase at Best Buy to get started. It also does come with a SIM card to connect you to the Tracfone network. To transfer apps and contacts from your old phone to the new phone use the "Smart Switch" app which may be pre-installed on the new phone. I believe you need the app on both phones so if it is not on both phones, simply go to the Google play store to download.
