No. Slam balls are typically smaller and filled with sand and do not bounce back when thrown to the ground. Medicine balls bounce off surfaces and are meant for repetitive movements

There are some crossover exercises which you can use either ball for, but there are specific exercises that each are better suited for. The Medicine/Wall balls are commonly thrown against a wall or wall ball target, or between two people. They have softer internals and do not create as harsh of an impact when thrown. The Slam Balls on the other hand have a thicker rubber wall and are designed for harder impacts on firm surfaces.
