QuestionI am going to purchase Deluxe Federal plus state digital download. I work out of my residence state. I need to be able to e-file both DE & PA. What is the best way to accomplish getting an additional state with the digital download? Thank you!

- Answer Same here. I needed both GA and MD and purchased this version. It comes with one state and allows you to purchase additional states for $40.

- Answer Didn’t file free. I purchased Turbo Tax Deluxe and Best Buy sent a key code to set up account to enter tax returns. At the end before I printed results software tried to charge me an additional $39. Got on chat that resulted in a phone call and lady was rude and frustrated because she didn’t know how to fix. After 45 minutes trying this and that she basically told me I’m not smart enough to follow her instructions.

- Answer Yes, if you are using the desktop CD/Download editions and not the online editions, then any of the desktop products can be used for a Schedule K-1.

- Answer WhileTurboTax - Deluxe 2021 Federal + E-File & State does include forms necessary to handle the tax situations you mentioned, we do suggest TurboTax Premier 2021 to get the guided interview questions to ensure information is being accurately entered. If you are comfortable manually entering your information, you can use Deluxe + State in Forms Mode. While using Forms Mode will not prevent you from e-filing, it does void the TurboTax Accuracy Guarantee. If you override any values that were calculated by TurboTax, this will void the Accuracy Guarantee and you will be unable to e-file. However, you would still be able to print and file your return. There are 5 federal files included and 1 state download.

- Answer I had to put my code in several times this year and it was very frustrating. I am unsure what the problem is, I kept getting a "invalid code" when I knew it was correct. It finally went through. I have used this for years, but I am seriously considering changing to a different tax software.

- Answer it does seem a little misleading when is says 1 free state return. If, like me, you do taxes for your kids in same state, we can all complete the fed and state tax forms (fed + Calif state), and e-file each of our Fed tax forms for free (separately, of course). But, to e-file ANY state returns costs $25 - none are free, from what I can tell. As annoying as it is, I refuse to pay the 'extra' for any of the state forms. Let the state waste time entering the info back in.
