After installing TurboTax Desktop, you'll be asked to sign in to your Intuit Account. You can more easily install TurboTax Desktop on another computer because we’ll store your license code.

After installing TurboTax Desktop, you'll be asked to sign in to your Intuit Account. TurboTax Desktop can be installed on another computer using your Intuit Account with your license code saved to it. You can e-file up to 5 tax returns using the software.

Q: QuestionWill this version also handle investments or am I forced into getting the Premier?

• A:Answer TurboTax Premier is recommended if you sold stock, bonds or mutual funds, sold employee stock, own rental property or are a trust beneficiary. Deluxe will handle some investment/dividend situations but Premier will be able to give guidance beyond that including capital gains. All TurboTax desktop personal tax products include all the same forms but with different guidance. While Deluxe does include the forms for capital gains, we do suggest Premier to get the guided interview questions to ensure information is being accurately entered. If you are comfortable manually entering your information, you can use Deluxe in Forms Mode. While using Forms Mode will not prevent you from e-filing, it does void the TurboTax Accuracy Guarantee. If you override any values that were calculated by TurboTax, this will void the Accuracy Guarantee and you will be unable to e-file. However, you would still be able to print and file your return.

Upon completion, you can choose to e-file your state return for an additional cost or you can print and mail in your return to avoid this charge. Please be aware that for the state of New York, there is no fee to e-file.

• A:Answer Yes, if needed, you can copy the TurboTax installation file to a Read/Write CD or you can copy the installation file to a USB drive. All the download installation files are executable. However, the software on the CD may not receive the proper system updates.

• A:Answer While Deluxe Federal and State 2024 Desktop does include the ability to enter a Schedule F for farming gains and losses, TurboTax Home & Business would be recommended as it offers additional step-by step help for completing the Schedule F.
