QuestionWhat is the policy for returning digital products? I purchased H&R Block from Amazon but activation code no working and cant get a refund because I already 'downloaded it". If there is an issue can it be returned?

- Answer I do not know this information. I have used TurboTax for so many years and I have never run across this issue. My opinion would be to ask the clerk or supervisor before you buy. I believe you would be happy with TurboTax Premier.

QuestionI must do a 2nd state return because I work in a state where I don't live. I WON'T EFILE THE 2ND RETURN. Is there additional charge to just generate the 2nd return if I'm not using efile? I'm using Premier.

- Answer TurboTax Premier 2023 Federal + E-file & State includes 5 Federal e-files and 1 State return via download. Additional state downloads will cost an additional fee. State e-file is sold separately. Depending on the state you live in, there may not be an e-file fee. To avoid an e-filing fee, you have the option to print and mail your return.

Questionwhat is the cost for a Turbotax 2nd state return? Is it ordered online as a product or does Turbotax dynamically prompt if a 2nd state return is attempted? I will buy Premier for my Fed and 1st state where I live, the 2nd is for the state where I work.

- Answer After you complete your state tax with Premier, it will ask you if you have any other state(s) to do. Turbotax brings you to the place you need to be able to file. Hope this helps you.

QuestionI must do a federal return and 2 state returns (I live in 1 state and work in another). I'll buy DT Premier for investments, margin, and capital loss carryover. I don't need E-file for 2nd state. Is there an extra charge to prepare the 2nd state return?

- Answer With your purchase of TurboTax Premier, you receive one state download product which allows you to choose a state to prepare your state taxes; a second, different state download product would be extra. E-filing states are sold separately but printing and mailing them would have no extra charge.

You can view a full list of supported forms on the TurboTax website by going to the 'Do It Yourself' section to find the Desktop version comparison, then 'View Forms' at the bottom of the comparison.

- Answer With your TurboTax Premier 2023 product you will get 5 free federal e-files and one state download for a state of your choosing to prepare your state taxes. While you can paper file the state taxes at no extra charge, e-filing them does cost $20 per state return at this time and may change depending on the time you file.

- Answer Turbo-tax allows for 5 Federal Returns, so yes, you can use it for five filings. With adult children who file taxes, this is a wonderful feature. If you get the Federal + State you can download one state version, but I think it may cost to file a state return.

- Answer Yes, you may use the State e-file included in the TurboTax Premier 2023 Fed + E-file & State for your resident return. However, for any additional state returns, there is an additional $20 fee, note that state e-file fees do not apply to New York state returns.

If you're using TurboTax Premier desktop software and you need to prepare a second state return for another individual, you can easily do so. With TurboTax Desktop, you can prepare and paper-file as many state returns as you want. However, please note that the software only allows e-filing returns for up to three states at an additional fee.
