I had Geek Squad come and install and mount my new TV and Soundbar in the beginning of September. They do give you the option to run the cords through the wall or to leave them hang (and later buy a casing cover to attach to your wall to hide the cords). If you do choose to run the cords through the wall (I did) they will make 2 holes. The first hole is up high behind the TV where the cords go into the wall and the second is down low behind your entertainment center where the cords need to come out to connect to your devices (satellite box, DVD/Blu Ray player, game system etc...). But they CANNOT run the power cords through the wall, only the HDMI/optical/coaxial etc. cords. They will tell you that if you want the power cords (I had 2, one for my TV and one for my Soundbar) ran through the wall too that you have to call a certified electrician to do that because of safety issues. So no matter what all cords cannot be ran through the wall by Best Buy Geek Squad. Hope this helps :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.BEWARE! Because of this question here, I asked the Geek Squad to clarify when I made the appointment. I was assured that they would ALL wires, not just the HDMI cables. The installers told me that was incorrect: The HDMI cables and have to be in-wall rated and you have to hire an electrician to move the outlet to behind the TV, or leave the power cord dangling. I even had to go out and buy the plastic wire channel to hide the power cord, which I painted but still looks awful. I wish Geek Squad told me this before because I would have just hired an electrician to begin with. They should also offer customers the option of using this Legrand in-wall power kit that they sell, which costs an additional $80, to move the outlet without an electrician. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/legrand-in-wall-tv-power-kit-white/1501144.p?skuId=1501144
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No they will not. I was told by the technician who came over that for an additional 150 dollars they could come back and put the electrical outlet behind the TV. A waste of 270$ The holes to run the other cables were already in the wall. Very disappointed! This was August 2021.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is the mount included
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No they will not. It is a huge liability and as a corporation they will not assume the risk. Have a certified electrician move power outlet behind tv and purchase in-wall HDMI cables. Oh and don’t mount your TV too high - position at eye level sitting down.
