• A:Answer Was told $199 Geek Squad installation and connect would take down my old TV and disconnect current set up and put up my new (65 inch Sony)TV and reconnect to my original set up which included a Sony sound bar ( which was connected to a 50 inch HDTV). Install ion right onto my original mount was easy and took only a short time but Geek Squad could not properly connect new TV to sound bar. They left saying it is not connecting now because tv is updating. They said after updating it should connect successfully. It did not. Tried calling Geek Squad to assist on tech support- but agent said all I paid for was installation and if I need additional help to connect I would have to pay another $49.99. I already paid $199 and I wasn’t about to give them more money

• A:Answer You can, but If it's bigger than 50 inches I would not recommend it. If you use a mount that's too small you will regret it if you try to add anything later. ie Amazon stick.

• A:Answer Typically they try to find the studs and install the bolts in the studs as this is the best, but if they cannot, they have bolt mounting brackets. They will hold 100lbs but normally they work well in drywall but with plaster, esp the older horsehair plaster, bolt mounts tend to rip out of the walls very easy. I have run into this before. They don't hold bolts or weight very well. Would probably be best to find out how far apart your studs are apart(normally 16" apart) using a stud finder and make sure you get a tv mount that will allow for mounting into the stud directly and bypassing the plaster mounting which normally does not fare very well.

• A:Answer I do not know the size of your room or how far from the screen you will be sitting. However, unless you are going to be very close to the screen, I would think a 75-80 inch TV would be great for a theater room. I can highly recommend LG and Samsung products.
