• No. The light stays on, even after the phone is fully charged (I tried it just now). That's why I don't use it, instead using an earlier Tzumi wireless charger that doesn't have any lights.

• I used some high quality black electrical tape and ran a bead around the outer rim. Worked perfectly to block the light !
