Sound is horrible I’ve been unable to use my Sonos speakers with it I have a Blu-ray hooked up to the projector Which works fine but won’t work with Sonos There is a Bluetooth wireless speaker at Best Buy that will work, but it’s another $1,000.00 Forget that and the projector I wasn’t able to return the projector after the 2 weeks Otherwise I would have gotten a better projector
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To be honest I don't know how the projector speakers sound. I use my projector in my out door theatre and have always used a 5.1 surround sound receiver and speakers to enjoy my movies. Any more why go to the trouble of using a projector to enhance the visual experience of a movie just To settle for less than mediocre(imo) sound. The soundtracks of movies, these days , are recorded in such a way that without the full setup up of at the minimum 5.1, you miss out on half the movie experience. You don't have to go full imax with your home theatre but don't cheat yourself by settling to listen to your movie on the projector speakers. No matter how good or not that they might be. Your not buying the projector for its sound quality but the picture quality. And this projector has impressed me with the picture quality on a 19'×11' screen battling the street light in front of the hous e next door. It is worth the price. I know this really didn't answer your question; but i hope it helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You are definitely going to need speakers. For outdoor movies I really like the Harbinger v2312 ($250), JBL or similar PA speaker. For inside I would look at a pair of powered speakers from SVS or Audioengine. Vizio sound bar would be another good option.
