No - the speed is only an indication of how fast you can potentially write to the disc. (Sometimes, depending on your hardware, you get better results if you burn the disc at a slower speed.) If you want to fit 7.726 GB of video onto a 4.7 GB disc, you'll have to use some other application (like Nero Recode) to reduce the size. This usually works well, and most people won't notice the slight loss in quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 4.7 GB is the max data that will fit on a standard DVD disc 8 vs 16 speed is just the rate the data is burned onto the disc. You can buy double layer blank disc the hold 8.5GB capacity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your question is confusing. What size was the disk you are copying from rated at? If it was 4.7GB, then it will probably fit, but it is tight from your numbers. I am assuming you are looking at the file size from the operating system which may calculate the file size differently than they calculate the capacity of this disk. The details are important. As to the write speed, that does not impact the file size written to disk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no, you would need a 2 sided disk , speed has nothing to do with storage capacity.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it would not fit. It can only fit 4.7 GB. 8x and 16x are the write speeds. 4.7 GB is the amount of data the dvd can store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the rate of speed 6x, 8x etc is at just how fast the stuff will load onto the disc - and has nothing to do with the amount of space it takes on the 4.7g
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.LOL. Speed doesn't resize disc!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, I do not believe so, unless you use some sort of high compression. The write speed only changes how fast data is being written or copied. It is like you can't put 12 ounces of water into an 8 ounce glass. The 4.7 GB disc only holds 4.7 GB of data. So if you had a program that would compress your data that was 7.726 GB you could fit it onto a 4.7 GB disc, but remember, whenever you compress something such as video or audio, you lose quality. It would almost be like trying to put the video from a Blu-Ray disc (Usually 25 GB or 50 GB for Dual Layer Discs) There would be no possible way to fit it onto a 4.7 GB DVD disc without a major compression of your video. If you wanted to copy video from a 7.726 GB disc, you could use the DVD9 discs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if you had more than one video, then you would use 2 discs. You would have to either compress it or use a program that will divide it. Sorry.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no, 7.7 gig is more than 4.7 gig
