A:AnswerWhen I purchased my device, it was activated at the store. They gave me a printout with the phone number of the device. I was not able to get an account created online (I kept getting an error message) so I called customer service and they got everything straightened out right away.
A:AnswerIt is locked to Verizon, there is no unlocking policy anywhere on the documentation. Don't expect to find an answer from Verizon. Their support for these things is less than useless.
