You can but you have to jump through a few hoops. Your account with Verizon is considered a postpaid account, whereas this phone is considered prepaid. In order to use it with your existing account such as transfer an existing line to this, you would have to purchase prepaid minutes through Verizon and have them then transfer an existing line or the other option is to keep the prepaid phone for a minimum of 30 days before Verizon can add it to your existing postpaid account. Better off just purchasing a non prepaid phone because you'll be paying an extra $30 or so for prepaid minutes before Verizon would change the prepaid phone to postpaid whether you purchased the phone outright or not. Hope this helps!

Their prepaid Verizon plan works like other plans, only you pay once a month instead of paying like a traditional cell phone plan. Verizon prepaid utilizes their 4G network with other networks available. Refer to Verizon’s prepaid website for further information like their coverage map.
