Small tapes can be transferred IF - You have a Player for them, 8mm needs a 8mm camera to play the tapes on. H. DV tapes needs a DV Camera/player, VHS tapes needs a VHS Recorder/Player unit. All versions of Players must have Cable from the Player that has Phono Plugs/ RCA style that will Plug into the back of the VIDBOX, that comes in the box of the Video Converter. The USB Cable between The VIDBOX to the Computer is included in the converter package you buy. You Need a Computer that has a DVD/CD recorder. A CD recorder will not work to save videotape programs. Type of DVD's Depend on the DVD Recorder, Some use DVD+R , Some Use DVD-R, Many Can use DVD+R & DVD-R , Look at computer manual OR look at the end of the tray of your computer CD player, Some are marked. You cant use a DVD+R in a DVD-R unit, Or a DVD-R in a DVD+R unit. The Manufactures of the Discs does not matter, as long as you match the +R or -R to your Recorder.
