It has what is referred to by alarm manufacturers as a starter interrupt circuit that bypasses the car's ignition switch so it can not be started unless the alarm is deactivated and it also has a "valet" switch or "valet" button which allows you to temporarily deactivate the system while, as the name suggests you leave your car with a valet or while your car is being detailed, serviced or repaired at a shop. The starter interrupt is probably what you might think of as a kill switch in that if anyone tries to start the car either with a key or by "hot wiring" it, the alarm interrupts the electrical signal from the ignition by routing it through a relay hidden within the factory wire harness of your vehicle. The only way to start the car is for you to disarm the system.
