Q: QuestionWill this module connect to an already installed viper 7146 remote start

• A:Answer I'm going to make an educated guess and say yes. The reason why I say this is because I had my viper alarm installed in my truck back in 2005. Best Buy was able to install this system to my old 2005 viper system with no issue. I have had the new system installed now for about 3 months with still no issues.

Q: QuestionDo viper remotes act like a Keyfob or do you have to press the button on the remote every time to unlock the car? When I walk up to the car and touch the handel does it unlock?

• A:Answer I believe that it is only compatible with Viper remote starters and security systems. I may be wrong. Ask an installer to be sure.

• A:Answer Most likely it would work with your 5706V model, I actually have a much older model...771XV model (2005) & it works perfectly. Basically its like I’m doing everything as before (just without the remote or key fobs ) And I do believe it must be professionally installed, Best Buy will automatically charge you the install fee...

• A:Answer Yes, I currently have the Viper alarm system 5706V model on my truck the self start stopped working. I decided to upgrade and swap the cell ular module with the GOS Module, so far it has worked ok, 3 of of the 60 plus times I've tried the GPS remote start, it would not work, overall I am satisfied with the product.

• A:Answer 99.00 for 1 year. I think its 199 for 3 yrs. I paid for the longer subscription just for the price savings on both my vehicles. you will be happy with the service. I set my warning so I know when my vehicle is outside my set parameters. the phone alarm is annoying because I hear it a lot but it's better than having a stolen car. the only downside I have to it is sometime the alarms dont alert you until 10 or so minutes after you enter or exit the zone. sometimes I'm home in my house before the alert goes through.
