Peelings coffee grounds and filters chicken bones, etc. they don't recommend onion peels if you are putting the compost in your garden because it might attract bugs. But if you are not going to keep the compost and your goal is just to reduce food waste in your trash then onions are okay.

Please try again later.i put everything in the composter except meat and nut shells and bones. so everyday there are rinds-orange and lemon , coffee grounds and filters teabags banana skins apple skins potato skins plate scrapings, left over salad, i cut up the corn cobs into small chunks. left over fruit or vegetables anything organic
