A:Answer You can connect any device that outputs RCA (old school red/white plugs), 2.5mm headphone jack (typical “Walkman” headphone size), optical/SPDIF/Toslink (all the same thing...they wore tip is square-ish and has a red light emitting from it when plugged in), or Bluetooth.
I suggest using an optical cable as in my opinion I think it’s the best type of connection based on the above options. Optical also supports up to 5.1 surround sound. This sound bar only does 2.1 surround sound so realistically that side of things is irrelevant, but just for your knowledge.
Be aware that this DOES NOT accept an HDMI input.
What I personally do is I plug my devices into the TV, or receiver, and then use the TV’s optical audio out and put that into the sound bar. I am not familiar with the Roku device you have personally so I don’t know if it is just HDMI or if it has a separate output capability for audio, but I will assume in this day and age it’s likely just HDMI. If that’s the case then plug your Roku into your TV and then output your TV to the sound bar. Most TV’s have some sort of audio out, usually at least RCA and/or optical.
FYI the wireless subwoofer connects to the sound bar via self pairing Bluetooth - so no wires needed for that other than a power plug - so make sure to put the sub anywhere you’d like. I suggest putting it in a side corner of the room.
Hope that helps!
