Both the Xbox and ATV 4K use Dolby MAT. Which is a lossless version of Atmos using PCM . You need eARC to be able to send lossless Atmos. Which is why the ATV 4K works. Since it is connected to the HDMI input of the speaker Bar. And the Xbox doesn't. Since it's using the ARC which is for lossy audio. And this speaker bar only has ARC. Not eARC. I use multiple, cascaded, HDMI switches with the one HDMI input. This allows me to connect thirteen of my devices to the one HDMI input on the speaker bar. Then with a Harmony remote and hub, one selection on the remote changes all the devices to the proper input. It's been working great for the two years I have owned the SB36512-F6 speaker bar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would depend on if your television is capable of outputting Atmos audio to the sound bar as it can accept DD+ on TrueHD Atmos formats.
