I see it as personal preference for which interface/ service offering you like the best. I had 50 TCL for a couple days before buying my Vizio. Roku vs Vizio. I like Vizio smart interface and functionality better. I don't think one or the other is better or worse for gaming. I'm a PC gamer not console, Vizio does have a game picture mode on quick rotation. The TCL Roku remote is simplified. I don't happen to like it so it wasn't a plus for me. Both have mobile apps available. I didn't assess 4K quality as a point of difference, someone else can. You may want to also consider TV thickness if you are mounting - both come with attachable feet to free stand but my Vizio is definitely thicker on the bottom.
