A:AnswerWe use IR codes and we've never changed them, so in theory any Vizio remote would control any Vizio TV, but functionality of older models is not guaranteed on newer models.
A:AnswerI also wanted to add more apps and the only thing you can do is us the smart view which mirrors off your phone. I use to watch HBO Max from my phone works fine

A:AnswerSounds like you need to update the TV. You can find out how to do that in your set-up instructions. When I set mine up it did the update automatically. If it won't update, or it updates and you still don't have smartcast, I'd advise you to contact Vizio Support about the problem.
