Supposedly the LCD technology of this TV does not allow you to sit too far to the side. Two of my theater seats are at least 30° to the side, and they are fine. The image is dimmer and the vertical streaks I see from the gaps in the full array backlight are more noticeable. I guess that means I have at least a 60° viewing angle. The stereo sound imaging is not as good that far to the side either, but that is a fault of stereo speakers and not the TV. I don't know of other TVs that do better. You have pointed out two of the advantages of OLED over full array LED backlit LCD in that the OLED has a wider viewing angle and no full array backlight streaks. The big advantage to LED backlit LCD is cost and the advantage of Quantum technology is the brightness and color purity. I feel I have a better TV than my previous Sony 1080p TV and I did not spend too much.
