• This sound bar does not require Wi-Fi to connect the sound bar and the subwoofer together. The sound bar and subwoofer connect together independently.

• Most definitely. As you know most HDTV's these days have small under powered speakers. The Vizio soundbar with wireless subwoofer and rear speakers make all the difference in the world. The sound is incredible and it's easy to install.
