• Hi - Yes, you can changed the number of rings before the built-in answering system of the VTech IS8151-4 picks up. Here's the procedure on how to change the number of rings. Using a cordless handset: When the handset is not in use, press MENU to enter the main menu. 1. Press ▼CID to scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT. 2. Press ▼CID to scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT. 3. Press ▼CID to scroll to # of rings, then press SELECT. 4. Press ▼CID or ▲ to choose among 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or Toll saver. 5. Press SELECT to save the setting. You will hear a confirmation tone. If you are referring to a voicemail service from you telephone provider, please contact you provider on how to change the number of rings on your voicemail service through them.
