I would not try it. Why not? I used to cut my dog's hair with clippers made for humans. It did OK, but just OK. The blades seemed to tug at the dog's hair. She did not like that, obviously. I bought Osters, I think, and the experience was just so much better for the dog because the blades were for a dog's hair. Clipped right through and the dog was so much more comfortable. I was so glad that I spent this money on her. I would purchase clippers made specifically for clipping a dog's hair.
