- Answer Hi Blossom, The TV console does require assembly. The fireplace is a simple plug-in unit that just needs to be inserted and screwed into place, after assembly of the stand is finished. You can purchase in-home set up with Best Buy if you are interested. Hope that helps!

QuestionI am worried about this with my kids. Is it hot to the touch on the outside? I am worried they might burn themselves?

- Answer Hi Kim, Thank you for asking. Definitely an understandable concern. These fireplaces get up to 89.6 degrees. They can get quite warm if you were to touch the glass. We do not recommend putting things in front of the fireplace insert itself, nor touching the glass when it is on. I hope this helps. Thank you.

- Answer whrn you turn the unit off, the image of the fire and logs is not illuminated. You still see a dark image if you look closely

QuestionThis generates heat , is it safe to place a television on top? My television is on for extended periods in the day I just don't want my television to get hot when I use the fireplace option for heat

- Answer I dont believe there is. Ours is on the carpet in our bedroom. The heater is a self-contained unit that slides into the furniture, heat comes out thru vents at the top of thefront of the heater.
